Learn ways to create beautiful peony carpels, stamen clusters, and petals in this new workshop with Tiffanie Turner. The Claire de Lune peony is a stunning specimen, and you will work through the elements to finish the flower. Instruction and a demonstration will be given for the peony leaves and attachment methods, and if time allows we will create the leaves and attach them in class. Materials will provided to create your peony and to take home to create another.

Light snacks and beverages provided. We will break for a half hour lunch at noon.

Tiffanie Turner is an artist who explores nature and botany in large and small scales in paper. She is a wife, mother of two young children, and a licensed California architect. Her work in paper stems from her background as an architect, particularly her interest in construction and repetitive motifs, along with her lifelong passion for flowers and botanical drawings. Her work can be seen around the Bay Area when she is exhibiting, online at www.papelsf.com and @tiffanieturner. For the month of May 2016 Tiffanie was the artist in residence at the de Young Museum. Tiffanie released her first book on paper flowers, titled "The Fine Art of Paper Flowers," in August of 2017 by Ten Speed Press.
