I'll introduce you to the basics leather craft and making a valet tray. We'll start by laying out your game plan, where we'll determine general size and shape of your end product. Then, we'll jump right into making a pattern and designing your piece. I'll provide tools and an assortment of materials for you to work with, giving you guidance and tips along the way. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a completely handmade and personalized piece. Makes a lovely gift, too.

Some things you’ll do + learn: How to make a pattern, how to make a stencil, hand-painting on leather, how to cut leather, how to use a leather punch, how to use a rivet setter, how to construct a dimensional piece.

Things to note: Must be 18 or over. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.

OPTIONAL: Bring a simple black/white graphic image no larger than 4x4”, to use for stenciling. If you’d like to run ideas by me prior to class, send images to contact@timmymays.com.
