An apron can change the way you experience a task. Honor what you do, whether it’s cooking, washing the dishes or making ceramics. In this workshop, we’re sharing our own design and the techniques we use to create aprons that become more beautiful with time.

During this workshop, you’ll make your own zero-waste apron and walk away with a completed apron made from beautiful, 100% cotton selvedge denim. We’ll talk about what zero-waste really means, and how to have fun creating your own zero-waste patterns, beyond aprons. We’ll also cover some sewing construction techniques that will allow your home sewn garments to last a lifetime.

Denim options will be provided in a variety of colors and weights, as well as sewing machines to work with (if you would like to bring your own machine please do). You can also bring your own mid weight fabric and matching thread if you choose. You must be comfortable operating a sewing machine to join. *

* Due to the length of this workshop we will be taking a short lunch break. Please bring a bagged lunch or there are also a few walkable options near the studio.
