Just in time for summer, learn to sew espadrilles in this hands-on class! By the end of this class, you will leave with a pair of your own, hand-sewn espadrilles, and all the knowledge necessary to make more.

The class fee covers the cost of the soles, stabilizer for your fabric, and the needles and thread for hand sewing. You will just need to bring mid- to heavyweight fabric for the exterior of the shoe, and a softer, lighter fabric for its lining, plus sewing machine thread that matches your fabric.

This class uses both machine and hand sewing. Students must already have experience using a sewing machine, and must be familiar with seam allowances, winding bobbins, and threading machines. No experience hand sewing is required; however, students must be strong enough to push needles through thick soles and fabric.

Soles are available in sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 . See size chart, below, to determine your size. Please indicate your sole size when you register.

Because materials have to be custom ordered, a $25 cancellation fee will apply if you are unable to attend the class after registering.

Size Chart:

Shoe Size // Foot Length

6                  9”

7                  9 3/8”

8                  9 5/8”

10                 10 1/4”
