In this workshop, Tiffanie will be teaching the basics of making crepe paper leaves, and additionally invites students to bring leaves found in nature to reproduce. A large selection of green crepe papers will be on hand, along with special colors created by Tiffanie for your use. Each student will receive one-on-one assistance from Tiffanie and we will share the leaf forming and shading techniques learned with each other. Students will go home with materials, skills, and select leaves they have completed in class. *

Please bring your favorite scissors if you have a pair, otherwise scissors will be provided in class.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Special note: Tiffanie would like to remind any attendees of either of her October 2018 Makerie retreats in Boulder that a leaf workshop similar to this is part of that curriculum.

* If you are interested in joining us for both workshops - Orchids AND Leaves - please choose that option at checkout and you will receive a $10 discount.

Tiffanie Turner is an artist who explores nature and botany in large and small scales in paper. She is a wife, mother of two young children, and a licensed California architect. Her work in paper stems from her background as an architect, particularly her interest in construction and repetitive motifs, along with her lifelong passion for flowers and botanical drawings. Her work can be seen around the Bay Area when she is exhibiting, online at www.papelsf.com and @tiffanieturner. For the month of May 2016 Tiffanie was the artist in residence at the de Young Museum. Tiffanie released her first book on paper flowers, titled "The Fine Art of Paper Flowers," in August of 2017 by Ten Speed Press.
