In this workshop, Tiffanie will teach you to make paper marigolds, complete with a stem and leaves. She will also teach you her tricks to creating the ruffled fall favorites so they can be added to garlands and crowns. Marigolds grow in wonderful shades of orange, yellow and cream, and all of these crepe paper colors will be available to choose from. Extra materials will be provided to create another flower at home.

This workshop will break from 12:30 to 1:00 for lunch. Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your favorite pair of paper cutting scissors, if you have them.

Tiffanie Turner is an artist who explores nature and botany in large and small scales in paper. She is a wife, mother of two young children, and a licensed California architect. Her work in paper stems from her background as an architect, particularly her interest in construction and repetitive motifs, along with her lifelong passion for flowers and botanical drawings. Her work can be seen around the Bay Area when she is exhibiting, online at www.papelsf.com and @tiffanieturner. Last spring at the de Young Museum Tiffanie was the artist in residence for the month of May 2016. Her first book on paper flowers, titled "The Fine Art of Paper Flowers," is now available by Ten Speed Press.
